Background
After living on the eastern side of Berlin, where all the tramlines are situated, for 5 years, Finn Ickler had been fond of that particular mode of transport for a while. When it came to deciding on the theme of his first One Reel Super 8 film, the tram immediately came to his mind. It provided a great motif and an example of how the Super 8 film handled movement, interiors, and night scenes. The film is shown as shot, without editing, as is usual for Ickler’s One Reel films.
Production
Finn Ickler used his Canon Auto Zoom 814 and shot on Kodak 500T filmstock. Shooting was done between 30th of September and 2nd of October. The film was developed and scanned by Andec Cinegrell.
